Final Project (Fall, 2024)

The final project of CS504049 aims to provide students with a hands-on experience in applying the concepts, tools, and techniques learned throughout the course to solve real-world business challenges. Students will be asked to choose a dataset from a variety of sources, clean and prepare the data, and then use a business intelligence tool to create visualizations, dashboards, reports, and support decision-making activity. The goal of the project is an opportunity for students to showcase their skills in collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data to generate valuable insights that drive strategic decision-making.

The final project is weighted 70% in the overall score of this course, including 20% of Process Evaluation 2 and 50% of Final Project. To well prepare for the final project, the course organizes this project into two parts corresponding to two types of assessments, i.e., data preparation, and data modelling. The final project description presents the plan that the final project will be conducted.
